The villa

Our villa is a 250 year old ‘cortijo’ set in the ‘campo’ of the costa del sol, close to the more quiet and less touristic Costa del Sol area of Nerja. Situated on the border of the Sierra de Tejeda y Almijara, our house is the perfect spot to stay when you love nature, walking, hiking and rest. Still, since we are only a few minutes drive from the beautiful white village of Frigiliana and just a 20 minutes drive from the lively town of Nerja and beaches, you have best of both worlds.

Cortijo Los Almendros is famous in and around Frigiliana, being the oldest cortijo in the area. In the early days, it was a wine producing small farm, where the family lived with a few servants and a small group of cattle. The house is still in its original state with thick walls and small doors, to stay fresh in summers and warm in winters. Because the former owner was invalid, the entire house is adjusted to host disabled persons as well. Offcourse, we have ‘upgraded’ the house to the current luxury standards, with all kitchen equipment needed, aircons, central heating etc.
